Holland Hall News
In Loving Memory
Dear Holland Hall Alumni,
Margery Mayo Feagin Bird ’33, arguably one of Holland Hall’s most generous and long-standing donors, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Margery Bird fostered a lasting legacy in both the Holland Hall and Tulsa communities. She left her philanthropic mark on many of Tulsa’s most important service organizations. An honored and decorated service member and volunteer; Margery was a Trustee Emeritus at Holland Hall.
Mrs. Bird was active in all areas of her life until her passing at age 95. During her 80’s, Margery parasailed in Mexico, helicoptered in the Caribbean and Yellowstone Park and ballooned in Africa. She led a life of which many could only dream.
Margery Bird was the first of dozens of graduates to grace the hallways of our beloved school. She along with the Lawsons, Mayos, Birds, Webbs, Holders, Coxes and more, established a legacy of Holland Hall alumni.
On behalf of the entire Holland Hall community, it is with great appreciation that we honor, celebrate and recognize a truly unselfish, charitable and generous benefactor and alumna.
