Cum Laude Society    2009/04/09

On Wednesday, April 8, seventeen Upper School students were inducted into the Cum Laude Society, a national academic honorary based on the college model of Phi Beta Kappa. This is the school’s 41st anniversary of membership in the society, which began in 1906. Over 567 students have been recognized with this honor since the school’s charter was granted in 1968.

This year, eight seniors and nine juniors were selected for induction, based upon their grade point average, strength of curriculum, and citizenship in the school. A total of 20% of the senior class may be recognized, with 10% inducted in the junior year and the remaining 10% in the senior year.

Congratulations to all new members of the Cum Laude Society!
