Four Holland Hall seniors have qualified as National Merit Semifinalists in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program: Christian Shearer, Alex Rao, Lily Fears and Marcela Pierre . More than 1.5 million high school students nationwide took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). In October of 2013 approximately 160,000 African American high school students took the PSAT/NMSQT Exam. The National Achievement Scholarship Program, offered through the National Merit Corporation, provides recognition for outstanding African American high school students. The Middle and Upper School Ecuador Trip is set for March 11-21, 2015. A parent and student information meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 6:30 pm in the MS Library.  All 6-12 grade students are eligible for this amazing experience of cultural immersion, service learning, touring and adventure all in one! Primary School Kristen Turner from Madison, Wisconsin, will be a PreSchool 3s Teaching Assistant. Turner received a Bachelors in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood from Oral Roberts University. Since 1972 seniors at Holland Hall have been required to complete an internship before they graduate.  The internship takes place during the last 2 1/2 weeks of the spring semester.  They may choose to intern in the field they plan to pursue in college or they may decide to try something that they’ve always had an interest in. Halle Salisbury interned at DNKY corporate office in New York City.
