Holland Hall Seniors Liam Carey and Declan Kiely took home 1st and 2nd place, respectively, in the age 16-18 Poetry category in the Tulsa City-County Library (TCCL) 2015 Young People’s Creative Writing Contest. Eighth grader Marta Almazovaite won 1st place in Poetry and 2nd place in Informal Essay in the 13-15 age division. Winners were selected out of more than 600 entries and honored in an award ceremony on Friday, August 28 at the Hardesty Regional Library. Evan Shrestha is representing Holland Hall and the state of Oklahoma at the 2015 National Youth Science Camp® (NYSC). According to 2015.nysc.org, The National Youth Science Camp is a residential science education program for young scientists the summer after they graduate from high school.
