Teaching and learning together.
Holland Hall offers a student/teacher ratio of 9:1, an array of exciting electives, a lively, loving community, and an apprenticeship in self-reliance. And we encourage your child to choose boldly from all we offer — to embrace adventure, take new paths, dare greatly, and engage fully with the exceptional opportunities at Holland Hall.
Divided up into three Branches, Holland Hall is uniquely prepared to meet students — at any age and every level — from Preschool to Senior year. The Primary School includes Preschool–3rd Grade; the Middle School includes 4th–8th Grade; the Upper School includes 9th–12th Grade.
Extraordinary Academic Opportunities
A nationally recognized reading and writing program in the Primary School. Life-changing service learning projects in the Middle School. An abundance of courses in the Upper School that prepare our students for college-level thinking. Throughout the journey, a wide range of academic and extracurricular offerings engage, excite, and embolden our students.
Complete College Preparation
A 100% college matriculation rate, $7.7 million in scholarships awarded to our average Senior class, and acceptances at large research universities and select liberal arts colleges across the country and around the world. At Holland Hall, our three full-time College Counselors engage each student in a years-long process that leads to a best-fit university — and ensures students are ready when they get there.
An Apprenticeship in Self-Reliance
1st Graders learning to focus in a bustling open-concept classroom. 4th Graders devising ambitious, self-directed community service projects, and freshmen mastering a complex modular schedule. Our community exudes acceptance and support, and we pour every resource into student success. But we also provide a safe place to fail and to learn time management, accountability, and self-reliance.
Our student/faculty ratio is just 9:1, 68% of the Upper School faculty holds advanced degrees, and the average Holland Hall teacher has more than 20 years of classroom experience. More importantly, our educators share and commitment to building relationships, forming mentorships, and forging bonds of trust — all in the name of knowing each student well enough to teach them in the best way possible.
