
2009-10 Eileen Christelow

Born in Washington, D.C., Eileen Christelow is an award-winning children’s illustrator/author who produces warm and bright animated picture books. Inspired by early interests in architecture, photography and graphic design, combined with trips to the library with her young daughter, Eileen started writing and illustrating picture books. In 1982, she published her first book, “Henry and the Red Stripes,” and has added numerous titles since then including, “Vote!”, “Letters from a Desperate Dog” and the “Five Little Monkeys” series.
