Primary School Application (Kindergarten-Grade 3)

When considering placement in Holland Hall’s Primary School, please note that August 1 is the cut-off date for application (i.e. a Kindergarten applicant will be five-years-old before August 1). If you have questions regarding this matter, feel free to contact the Admission Office directly.

The application process for Kindergarten through Grade 3 involves a number of steps, which are listed below:

  • Complete the application (on-line)

  • Complete the Teacher Recommendation form for the appropriate grade-level

  • Turn in grades from the last two years and any current standardized test scores

  • Turn in a copy of the birth certificate and immunization records

Upon receipt of this information, the Admission Office will contact the parent/guardian to schedule a shadow visit (First – Third Grade  stay for the whole day). Lunch is provided. At some point during the visit, the child will visit be pulled out by a faculty member and assessed.

In order to accommodate the large number of Kindergarten and Grade 1 applicants, a Thursday testing date has been scheduled on January 26, 2012. If this date does not fit into your schedule, please contact the Admission Office and we will come up with a workable arrangement.

After the shadow visit and assessment, the Admission Office will contact the parent/guardian regarding the admission decision.
