Artist Reception – Cynthia Marcoux

Please plan on stopping by for the Artist Reception at the Holliman Gallery in the Walter Arts Center on Thursday, January 16 from 5 – 7 p.m. featuring Cynthia Marcoux.

Ms. Marcoux is a local artist who has spent time honing her artistic skills. Having been employed at the Tulsa Zoo creating exhibits, she had to learn to work with various mediums from paint to concrete. Most known for her realism, this exhibition at the Holliman Gallery spans 43 years of her artistic career. The exhibit will run through February 28.

In THE AUDITION, a new theater teacher is bringing a production of A Chorus Line to the high school. Though the hopefuls range from shy to outrageous, and from diva-like to determined, everyone has a chance to step into the spotlight. A hilarious and heartbreaking look at the madness of auditioning and the actors who brave the process for that perfect part.

In THE REHEARSAL, the teacher tries to pull off a production, but putting a musical together is never easy, especially with a megalomaniac stage manager, a lead who’s convinced that Wicked is a much better show, and a girl who is clinically incapable of following directions (she has a doctor’s note to prove it). A hilarious and poignant look behind the scenes of a drama club production filled with — what else? — lots of drama!

State of the School Address

Please join J.P. Culley, Head of School, and J.W. Craft, Chair of Holland Hall’s Board of Trustees, for an evening covering a look at the current state of Holland Hall. Topics include student outcomes, financial well-being, enrollment trends, benchmark data, compelling stories about students and faculty, and strategic plan progress. While a directed conversation, questions are invited throughout and time will also be reserved for questions at the end. There’s much to be excited about and celebrated, along with much to be shared about what’s to come!
