Clarifications: Upcoming College Financial Aid Nights
This Monday night, October 7 is INFORMATION about college financial aid and planning — just the basics – applicable for any college. The times are 7:15-8:15 pm in the US Barnard Commons. Two weeks later, on October 21 is the actual FAFSA prep workshop where you’ll have the opportunity to work privately with a financial aid counselor to complete your FAFSA and submit if you need. The times for that are 4-6:30 pm, in the US math rooms. Come and go. You will, however, need to email Brent Casey, Director of College Counseling, email@example.com, prior to attending. There is information that you will need to have ready in order to be prepared to meet with a counselor.
National PSAT Test Date
Wednesday, October 16 is the National PSAT Test Date. Students are automatically registered by Holland Hall. All 10th grade students will test, for practice and a baseline score, and all juniors will take the actual exam to gain knowledge and a baseline evaluation should they choose to take the SAT at a later date. This test also qualifies 11th grade students, across the nation, for National Merit Semifinalist status. More information regarding specifics for the day, for all US grade levels, will announced in Morning Meeting and sent from Frances Fondren-Bales, Head of Upper School, as the date approaches.
Upcoming College and University Visits
Colleges and Universities from across the United States have been making appointments to visit Holland Hall students beginning in September. Please view the list of scheduled visits in the link below and check back often for new additions.
Please remember that to attend a visit, students must sign up on Naviance ahead of time.
