We are excited to welcome Andrew Ramiro Tirado, acclaimed artist from Colorado Springs for our 45th year of ARTworks.
Tirado is best known for his award-winning large-scale sculptures and paintings of hands. He uses reclaimed wood, metal, paint, and canvas to create these incredible pieces that are absolutely unique and stunning. Tirado’s work stimulates curiosity in both design and creation. Holland Hall is fortunate to have our very own Tirado sculpture, Lacuna, in the Upper School Commons. Students, faculty, Patrons, alumni, and the greater community will have the opportunity to participate in gallery visits and workshops alongside the artist himself as Tirado spends a week as the ARTworks artist-in-residence beginning October 24.
The gallery opening gives guests an opportunity to meet the artist and purchase original works of art.We invite you to attend the reception on Tuesday, October 25 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. as a patron or by purchasing tickets. Andrew’s exhibition works available for purchase in the Holliman Gallery in the Walter Arts Center until November November 23.
This is a pre-sale event so garments will not be produced until the close of the sale with orders expected to arrive mid-October before ARTworks week.
