Mark Lewis Headshot

We are excited to welcome Mark Lewis,  an acclaimed artist from Tulsa, for our 46th ARTworks.

Mark Lewis's work features the urban landscape and specifically Tulsa city streets. Some of his recent work has also been influenced by the contemporary political climate. Mark says, "I love the democratic spaces we live in and occupy, exploring the human condition through these street scenes and the visual opportunities provided by these spaces.  I continue to be fascinated by the ordinary/extraordinary Tulsa streets scenes and the fictional street scenes that converge in and emerge from my studio."

Students, faculty, patrons, alumni, and the greater community will have the opportunity to participate in gallery visits and workshops alongside the artist himself as Lewis spends a week as the ARTworks artist-in-residence beginning October 23.

The gallery opening gives guests an opportunity to meet the artist and purchase original works of art. We invite you to attend the reception on Tuesday, October 24 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. as a patron or by purchasing tickets. Lewis’s exhibition works are available for purchase in the Holliman Gallery in the Walter Arts Center until November 21.
