Vol. 16: Meet Jenna Byers and more!

Welcome Jenna Byers!

Hey, Dutch! I am thrilled to be back home as Holland Hall’s new Director of Alumni Engagement. After graduating from Holland Hall in 2016, I went to Texas A&M University where I played soccer for four years and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Commerce and a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management. I began my new role here at Holland Hall in September — just in time for Reunion Weekend — which was a huge success thanks to our volunteers and everyone who came to campus! It’s been so fun being back and seeing so many of the teachers and coaches I had and loved during my time as a student. I look forward to connecting — and reconnecting — with many of you! Please reach out if you’d like to be involved in the Alumni Association, jbyers@hollandhall.org. Your participation makes the Dutch community stronger.

Dutch Divine

Dutch Divine 2021 was the best one yet! We are grateful to our sponsors and attendees for making the night a success and helping raise funds for financial aid for the children of alumni and the grandchildren of our retired faculty.

Attendees enjoyed a five-course meal prepared by Justin Thompson ‘98, Myles McClanahan ‘98 and current parent Kate Atkinson that was inspired by our old Refectory days. And, yes, Betty Dougal was there, as were the lunch cards. Be on the lookout for the next date!

Special thanks to our....

Get your Charlie Brown bobblehead or book

For 56 years, Charlie Brown has impacted the lives of so many of us — first as a chemistry teacher and football coach, then as an athletic director and the director of stewardship. He’s also been a fierce advocate for financial aid — attracting talented artists, scholars and athletes to Holland Hall.

His long legacy will now include the Charlie Brown Endowment for Financial Aid to help ensure that incoming or current students who have the potential to make significant contributions to academics, arts, and athletics have the opportunity to do so. You can make a gift to the endowment today, and with a $1,000 donation or more, you will receive an iconic Charlie Brown Bobblehead! You can also order your copy of The Lucky One, Charlie Brown's autobiography, here. The books are signed and would make great gifts.
