Dutch Weekly: August 20-27

Welcome back, Dutch! It's been an amazing first week.

All-School Information

From the Head of School's office: Mask up next week

Based on the data from this week and likely projections for the next, we will maintain our mask requirement for adults and students for the coming week. Trust we would all like to get to a mask optional stance as quickly and as safely as possible. The current numbers and lack of access to a vaccine for our youngest simply do not make that reasonable right now.As a reminder, we are taking a measured approach to masking. We require them for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals when the daily Tulsa County Covid numbers are at 31 cases per 100,000 residents or more. We will announce the following week's mask status in Dutch Weekly every Friday. The policy is listed here below for reference.

COVID notifications

When there is a confirmed COVID case on campus, we will update our website here. If your child has been identified to quarantine, you will be contacted personally. Please keep your child home if they are experiencing any signs of illness and contact our Director of Health Services Kathleen Alabbasi, nurse@hollandhall.org.

Lunch is back. Back again.

Holland Hall is 100. Let's celebrate together at CONVOCATION!

After convocation ends, we'll ask parents to leave campus as the Middle and Upper School students enjoy a carnival and pizza.Don't forget to pick up a special gift while you're there!

Please go to the parent portal — gotohh.org/parentportal — for that!PSAT Practice TestHolland Hall is partnering with Revolution Prep to provide our students with the opportunity to practice taking college admissions exams. A proctored practice exam is the best way to get a real-time snapshot of testing performance in order to create a testing plan. Why take a practice exam? Knowing your numbers will help you make educated choices in the college application process. By taking a practice PSAT/NMSQT, ACT and SAT exam, students can determine which test they are best suited for. Taking a mock exam is also a great way to determine if taking an official exam is right for you. This is great for juniors preparing for the PSAT who want a shot at National Merit.

Materials will be emailed to students 24 hours before the exam.We hope you’ll take advantage of this great opportunity!
