* What parent resources would you like to see offered?
* What types of activities and learning opportunities would you like to attend?
* What kinds of information and communication would help you feel more informed and connected?

Come make your voice heard! If you have ideas and can't make it to a listening session please call PA President Tobey Ballenger. You can find her contact information in the family directory under her kids' last name — Alderman. Thank you!

A new app — connect now. Cool things are coming.

Families may have noticed that their Holland Hall app has updated. If yours has not, you can visit Apple App Store, Google Play or Amazon Appstore, search for the app and click “update.”

Parents will want to click the ‘Parents’ tab at the top of the home page to access the Parent Portal, Schoology, a quick directory of school numbers, the Family Directory and more. To use the Family Directory, you will need to sign into the Parent Portal, but your phone's password manager should save your password for future use.

Please do not create an account at this time. One is not needed to use the app as it is. Group applications — allowing parents in a grade level to talk to each other and receive messages from the grade coordinator — will roll out soon.

First grade families: You'll be the first to start using the app's group feature. Other grades will soon follow. Be watching for more information soon!

Volunteer in the Dutch Zone and get a discount!

We need volunteers in the Dutch Zone most weeks of the month and during home football games. If you're interested in volunteering — and getting a 20 percent discount during your shift — sign up here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1v86W39KTQIrGBvhCSzE5LTBNgoD0PeVT_-cTU6LieEk/edit?usp=sharing.

Notes from the Nurse — we're seeing an uptick in illness

With the recent rise in respiratory and other illnesses, we want to remind the Holland Hall community to keep your child (or yourself) home if you are ill. Please also consider having them tested for COVID-19, especially if there is a known exposure and/or recent travel.

Please also allow them to stay home until they are well. Students should be fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medications for at least 24 hours before returning. The same applies for vomiting and/or diarrhea.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of your school nurses.

And click here to see the latest Holland Hall Illness Protocol.

Nut policy in the Primary School

The Primary School is a "nut aware" area. We need your help keeping everyone safe.
Snack Time: We kindly ask that you refrain from sending any snacks containing nuts or nut products with your child to school. This includes items such as peanut butter sandwiches, granola bars with nuts, and any other nut-related snacks.

Lunch
If you choose to pack a lunch for your child from home and it contains any nut products, please be sure to clearly label these items within the lunchbox. This allows us to identify and safely manage any potential allergens.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Primary School Picture Day is Monday, Sept. 11

As soon as the photos are ready you will hear from JostensPix at the email address you provided to the school. Please use the same address for all communication. There are no envelopes to return and your orders will be shipped directly to you. Please communicate with JostensPix always using the same emails you provided to the school, and following the directions in the emails they send. If you have questions, please contact JostensPix customer service 1-877-515-1447.
