Crystal Lawson
Varsity Girls Basketball HC
Crystal Lawson is the girls basketball coach at Holland Hall. A Sapulpa native, Lawson has been at Holland Hall for close to 20 years. In addition to her coaching duties, she’s the 7th & 8th Grade Dean of Students and the Middle School Athletic Director. Lawson graduated from Jenks High School in 1992. She earned her Health and Sports Science degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1997.
“I coach because I love the life lessons the game can teach, the confidence that it instills in young women, and the relationships that are built. I hope kids who play for me learn how to work hard when no one is watching, how to be accountable to themselves and their teammates.”

Teddy Owens
Middle School Boys & Girls Golf Asst Coach
Varsity Boys Basketball HC
Teddy Owens brings major-college experience and pedigree as the Holland Hall head boys basketball coach. He’s also a gym teacher in the Primary School.
Teddy’s dad, Ted, is a college basketball legend who coached at Kansas and Oral Roberts. Teddy, 45, was born in Lawrence, Kansas, and graduated high school from Seminole Presbyterian School in Tampa, Fla.
He is now in his second stint at Holland Hall, having been a boys assistant for the Dutch from 2005-08. He’s also been a head coach at Carrollwood Day School in Tampa Bay and locally at Lincoln Christian. He’s also been an assistant at Metro Christian and Edison.
Teddy has been on major-college staffs at Oklahoma (under Lon Kruger), Oklahoma State (under Eddie Sutton) and Nebraska. His lone season at OSU in 2003-04, where he was a student manager, the Cowboys reached the Final Four.
Owens earned his bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Oklahoma State and his master’s degree in human relations from Oklahoma in May 2013.
Teddy learned a love of cooking from his mother. Both of his kids attend Holland Hall.
“More than anything, I want (players) to become leaders. I want them to become great men, not defined by occupation, but who they are as people. That’s what I get the most joy out of.”
